professional video with actual sound (shot by a local TV crew for documentary).
Available as a standard three-song set and as a brief portion of Rock

with Peter Grant and NBC commentary. Half of the footage has a stamp on
the picture. Cosmic Energy's "Assemblage" is the only one featuring
footage of the crowd, after the gig.

1st
source (ext mic>Tandberg mono R2R @ 7 1/2 ips master reels) (same taper
(Stan Gutowski) as Seattle March 17th, 1975?). The taper said that he
simply situated recorder on top of a nearby stack of unused folding chairs
in the second tier of the huge arena and left recording while he returned
to his seat. The taper also transferred his March 21st, 1975 Seattle master
reel back in the early 1990's for a guy to analog cassette, and we got
a dub from him. (so some copies are master reel>1st gen cassette>2nd
gen cassette). Other than it being a bit bass heavy, it's superb. About
five years later, the taper had the master reel transferred again - this
time to DAT for we believe Mike Wolf (Datfly). The later transfer to DAT
sounds as if either there was some alignment problems, or that the reel
had deteriorated. We've never seen or heard of the taper transferring
his master reel to VHS, but we could be wrong.

Color
professional video with actual sound shot to feed the large screens. The
picture is degenerated on all of pre-2005 versions. The new version has
Trampled Underfoot, Moby Dick, Dazed And Confused, Stairway To Heaven
and Whole Lotta Love-Out On The Tiles Intro-Black Dog in really good quality
which means that tape generation is far closer to the master. DVD only
features In My Time Of Dying with some inserts edited.

Color
professional video with actual soundshot to feed the large screens. The
picture is degenerated on all of pre-Toasted Condor videos, also all of
videos were very incomplete. This newest version has the quality much
better and is obvious that it comes from very close to the master. The
footage of the songs used on the official DVD are slightly edited from
the original cut that can be seen on the bootlegs.

| *Important Note: As reported,
Millard hated bootleg companies and never willingly gave access to any of
his tapes to be used. However the tapes he traded did find there way into
the hands of various bootleg companies. Many of copies he did are marked
by several micro cuts to protect the original tapes and not to gave any
chance to the potential bootleggers to have a true, complete master recording. It is claimed that Millard destroyed some of his Led Zeppelin master tapes, though it is still believed his family have posession of a bulk of the tapes. As for now no bootleg was sourced from any of Millard master tapes. All were sourced directly from several 1st gen copies and every bootleg that stated its recording comes from Millard master is a false claim. |
