Recording: Superb stereo soundboard/Good mono audience (the quality is better than all previous titles). Source: Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England May 24 '75. Comments: Japanese bootleg. Deluxe quad gatefold sleeve. Sleeves for CDs are used. This release for the last night has more board tape than the Empress Valley version. There is about 4 minutes before Alan Freeman comes on stage to announce the band, and about 8 minutes after Stairway To Heaven. Unfortunately they missed a little of Plant's chat during the change from the audience tape to the soundboard prior to Going To California. Beside that it's another definitive version of Earl's Court concert.

ROCK CARNIVAL
WATCH TOWER WT 2004111

CD: Immigrant Song/Heartbreaker medley incl. Bouree/Since I've Been Loving You/Going To California/Dazed And Confused/Out On The Tiles Intro/Black Dog/Stairway To Heaven (63:37)
Recording: Excellent stereo audience. Songs out of proper sequence. Source: Nippon Budokan, Tokyo, Japan Sept. 23 '71. Comments: Japanese bootleg. Deluxe card slipcase with CD inside in insert sleeve. Limited and numbered edition. Song separation (original raw tape was available from the net and there are cuts between every song). The liner notes say the master tapes were lost in a 1995 fire as the result of an earthquake. Sort of weird that the incomplete 1st gen. would survive but the complete master burned to ashes. The proper song order is screwed up by the placement of "Going to California" in the wrong spot, but if you download the show it's easy enough to put it back in order before you burn a copy. It's a shame this new source will be placed into category of an incompleteness, since the quality is highly enjoyable.

Recording: Excellent stereo soundboard/Good to Very good stereo audience (the quality is better than all previous titles). Source: Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England May 24 '75. Comments: Japanese bootleg. Deluxe hinged box with quad gatefold sleeve. Sleeves for CDs are used. This release from Watch Tower looks set to become the definitive version of this classic show. There have been so many releases of this concert, but at last it has now been done with a great deal of care. A new soundboard source for the first part of the show, rather than the video source, has been used, and this is much clearer and sharper than previous versions. The gaps in the soundboard recording (Going To California and the start of That's The Way) have been filled from the audience tape. Definitely one of the best and most complete versions of this show.
