APRIL 3 - THE MYRIAD, OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA (SUNDAY)
The show was rescheduled from March 3, 1977. The concert is married by equipment problems.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, [ cut ], In My Time Of Dying, Since I've Been Loving You, [ cut ], No Quarter [ cut ], Ten Years Gone, [ cut ], The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, [ cut ], Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, [ cut ], Over The Top (<< Out On The Tiles, Moby Dick..), [ cut ], Guitar Solo [ cut ] >> Achilles Last Stand, [ cut ], Stairway To Heaven, [ cut ], Rock And Roll, [ cut ], Trampled Underfoot.
Source: Incomplete good audience recording. 180 minutes.
Details: The tape is muffled and distant in some places and there are many minor warbles. The sound brightens and dulls throughout the entire show. When the recording does clear up, the sound is very good. The instruments are well defined during these portions.

Bootleg CD Reference(s): The Fuckin' P.A. System (Tarantura) & Fucking T.Y. (Tattytura)

Comments: The second show of the tour and the second concert in two years. It shows. The band is very rusty and unrehearsed, PA system problems truncated group's playing, and Jimmy plays solos in completely wrong keys in some songs! Robert's voice is fairly strong and the rhythm section seems all right in most spots, but the lack of confidence shows in the short length of No Quarter, Ten Years Gone and In My Time Of Dying. This show is also the second ever time the new Presence songs are performed live, as well as Ten Years Gone and The Battle Of Evermore.

APRIL 6 - CHICAGO STADIUM, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (WEDNESDAY, 8pm)
The show is married by equipment problems.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, In My Time Of Dying, Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter [ cut ], Ten Years Gone, [ cut ], The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, Over The Top (<< Out On The Tiles, Moby Dick..), Guitar Solo >> Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, Rock And Roll, Trampled Underfoot [ cut ].
Source: Incomplete fair audience recording. 171 minutes.
Details: Fair and muddy tape, recorded from 12th row.

Bootleg CD Reference(s): Great Chicago Fire (Empress Valley Supreme Disc) & The Missing Night In Chicago (Missing Link)

Comments: Opening night for the four night stand in Chicago and beginning of the problems with firecrackers that disorganised the band. Plant said before any note was played: "Listen! Before we start, can we ask you one thing? Can you stop throwing those firecrackers? We want to give you a lot of music, but we're not going to fight with firecrackers? Ok?! Cool it with the explosives." After some scary firecracker blasts and shouts of protest from Robert, the show begins. It is quite good. Jimmy's solo in Since I've Been Loving You is excellent. He really tortures his guitar, making it scream and moan. Jimmy actually speaks during the acoustic section ("Better to live one day as a king, than a thousand years as a peasant."), and the ending of the show is kind of sloppy. Jimmy massacres Ten Years Gone, has problems with his instrument during White Summer/Black Mountain Side and the solo and Achilles Last Stand are rushed and violent. Fairly strong show for the 2nd or 3rd one of the tour, and a strong opening nonetheless for Chicago, although disaster is around the corner three nights late.

APRIL 7 - CHICAGO STADIUM, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (THURSDAY, 8pm)
The show was shortened because of hockey playoffs.

[ cut ] >> Kashmir, [ cut ], Achilles Last Stand [ cut ], Stairway To Heaven, [ cut ], Rock And Roll].
Source: Incomplete fair to good audience recording. Near 97 minutes.
Details: Noisy and distant tape, also muffled less or more throughout. The hiss is present.

Bootleg CD Reference(s): Great Chicago Fire (Empress Valley Supreme Disc)

Comments: A very good show, sadly shortened due to some restrictions - In My Time Of Dying and Trampled Underfoot were dropped out from this show. The reason of this unexpetced move was caused of city-based hockey team, Chicago Black Hawks. They were in the playoffs at the time and had to use the arena on Friday night. The union that worked this facility demanded Zeppelin be finished by 11:00 P.M. as the Showco sound system had to be dismantled for the hockey game to be played on Friday. It was reassembled for Saturday's show.

The show ended suddenly when Jimmy Page went down on stage because of illness. The stubs for this particular date were later used for the August 2, 1977 date.

Comments: This is the show where Jimmy passes out due to food poisoning! The playing is very gutsy and inspired, although several times his timing is off and he confuses the rest of the band. This is most evident in the intro to Nobody's Fault But Mine and the fact that he plays the first minute of Since I've Been Loving You before the aforementioned song, making the set out of order and confusing the band, who do not enter. In My Time Of Dying was also dropped from tonight's set out. The show is cancelled after Jimmy passes out in Ten Years Gone due to food poisoning. Plant: "Jimmy has got a bout of gastro-enteritis, which isn't helped by firecrackers, so we've gonna take a neccessary five minute break." After a conversation backstage, Richard Cole announced to the quite a disappointed audience: "Jimmy does not want to a half-hearted show tonight. If you watch the press on Monday, this show will be rescheduled. The band feel very bad about this, but please hang onto your tickets. All tickets will be honoured." Too bad, as the show was very intense.

APRIL 10 - CHICAGO STADIUM, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (SUNDAY, 8pm)

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, In My Time Of Dying [ cut ], Since I've Been Loving You, [ cut ], No Quarter [ cut ], Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, [ cut ], Going To California [ cut ], Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), Trampled Underfoot, [ cut ], White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) Source: Incomplete fair to good 1st audience recording. 148 minutes.
Details: The main drawback is heavy distortion, the recording is overloaded up to the point where no one instrument is really clear but still listenable. The taper was much close to the PA system possibly what caused of these issues.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, In My Time Of Dying, No Quarter, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..).

Comments: Possibly the best night from four Chicago-based shows. The playing is hot here and seems that the band had leaved most of the problems that plagued them on all the previous night behind. Plant said near the beginning of the show about what happened to Pagey last night: "Jimmy was feeling ill last night, but it was only a false pregnancy, so that's alright ... Mr Page neither smokes, drinks, takes women or does anything like that so we want an apology tomorrow and a crate of alcohol!" said Robert according to the some local radio report last night. The beginning is blistering and In My Time Of Dying is very powerful and rather bombastic. No Quarter is another fine version but as always on this tour, Ten Years Gone is full om mistakes due to the fact that song was not too much rehearsed before the tour. Kashmir shines and is brutal and Achilles Last Stand forced the audience as well. This is the show where Page is captured wearing (in)famous storm tropper outfit.

Source: Incomplete good to very good audience recording. 95 minutes.
Details: Although the crowd is very noisy and the taper is much away from the stage, the actual music is still clear and very listenable. Tape is distorted in few places.

Bootleg CD Reference(s): Cincinnati Kids (H&Y Records), Cincinnati Riot Disaster (Electric Magic), & Gatecrush Riot (Electric Magic)

Comments: This is all that is known to exist from this very enjoyable 1977 show. The playing is slick and there is nary a mistake throughout this concert. Kashmir is very powerful and the opening blast into Sick Again is quite powerful. Robert gets upset at the constant barrage of firecrackers, which are clearly audible on this tape. A rather rowdy audience gets out of control in some point that caused Plant to comment: "It's very difficult to play when you see crowds of people swaying. Keep it cool. Stand still. We don't want to see anybody get hurt."

APRIL 20 - RIVERFRONT COLISEUM, CINCINNATI, OHIO (WEDNESDAY, 8pm)
The show is truncated by the death of young person pushed from the stadium's third level by an unruly crowd straight into the street, where he was struck by a car.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, [ cut ], In My Time Of Dying (<< You Shook Me..) [ cut ], Since I've Been Loving You [ cut ], [ cut ], The Battle Of Evermore, [ cut ], White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, Over The Top (<< Out On The Tiles [ cut ], Moby Dick [ cut ]..) [ cut ], Guitar Solo (<< The Star Spangled Banner..) >> Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, [ cut ], Rock And Roll, [ cut ], Trampled Underfoot.
Source: Incomplete good audience recording. 99 minutes.
Details: This source is boomy, due to the venue, with fairly listenable bottom end.

Bootleg CD Reference(s): Gatecrush Riot (Electric Magic) & Cincinnati Riot Disaster (Electric Magic)

Comments: This is all that exists from this show that remembered the worst incident in the band's whole career - due to rowdy audience a young boy was pushed from stadium's level straight into the street, where he was stuck by a car accidentally and died. Robert's voice is very powerful and Kashmir rocks really hard, and the entrance into it is explosive. Jimmy also plays the riff from Candy Store Rock but unfortunetally this is taken no further.

APRIL 22 - UD ARENA, DAYTON, OHIO (FRIDAY) (cancelled)
The show was cancelled and initially supposed to be rescheduled for August 2, 1977.

APRIL 23 - THE OMNI, ATLANTA, GEORGIA (SATURDAY, 8pm)
The show was rescheduled from May 21, 1977.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, In My Time Of Dying [ cut ], [ cut ], Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter [ cut ], Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, [ cut ], Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, [ cut ], Over The Top (<< Out On The Tiles, Moby Dick..) [ cut ], Guitar Solo (<< Dixie, The Star Spangled Banner..) >> Achilles Last Stand, [ cut ], Stairway To Heaven, Rock And Roll, [ cut ], Trampled Underfoot.
Source: Incomplete good audience recording. 177 minutes.
Details: This recording is distorted by the bass and is distant but overall the quality of it is much more enjoyable than we could expected. The first few numbers are rather heavily distorted, then the tape clears up and some parts are quite enjoyable.

Bootleg CD Reference(s): How Many More Years Gone With The Wind (The Chronicles Of Led Zeppelin)

Comments: A very good early 1977 show. Sick Again is really heavy and rocks hard, and Since I've Been Loving You contains some tortured guitar soloing from Jimmy. No Quarter contains some truly great improvisations and some interesting keyboard variations by Jonesy. Achilles Last Stand brings the house down as always and Trampled Underfoot is an excellent version to cap the event.

WARNING! Some sources reported that another tape of this show exist and may still be in the hands of a tape hoarder. Possibly whole show was recorded but a very big care must be taken with these reports.

APRIL 25 - FREEDOM HALL, LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY (MONDAY, 8pm)
The show occuried by the member of the audience when he threw a bottle up on stage whcih actually clipped Page's guitar and the remainder of the show was almost cancelled.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, In My Time Of Dying (<< You Shook Me..), Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter (<< The Nutcracker Suite...) [ cut ], Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, [ cut ], Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..) [ cut ], White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, Over The Top (<< Out On The Tiles, Moby Dick..), Guitar Solo (<< The Star Spangled Banner..) >> Achilles Last Stand [ cut ], Stairway To Heaven, [ cut ], Rock And Roll.
Source: Incomplete good to very good audience recording. Almost 166 minutes.
Details: The balance is proper and all sounds clear but the recording is distorted in some way although it clears up rather noticeably. Some rather small tape speed issues at acoustic section here and there.

Bootleg CD Reference(s): Kentucky Bourbon (Empress Valley Supreme Disc), Louisville Slugger (Wendy Records), & The Oxygen Destroyer (Tarantura2000)

Comments: Another very good show. Nice renditions of Sick Again, In My Time Of Dying, No Quarter and Kashmir. Some idiot threw a bottle that wasn't empty up on stage which actually clipped Jimmy's guitar. He sat his guitar down on the stand and left the stage. The remaining members also left shortly after. It's reported that Jimmy was pissed off, and nearly cancelled the remainder of the show. But after some minutes Jimmy played as if nothing had happened. He also misses some notes during his solo in Achilles Last Stand and Ten Years Gone is only average. Rather great version of Stairway To Heaven and a strong encore closing this evening.

APRIL 27 - RICHFIELD COLISEUM, CLEVELAND, OHIO (WEDNESDAY, 8pm)
The show is married by some problems with equipment.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same [ cut ] >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, In My Time Of Dying (<< You Shook Me..), Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter [ cut ], Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) [ cut ] >> Kashmir, Over The Top (<< Out On The Tiles, Moby Dick..), Guitar Solo (<< The Star Spangled Banner, Jerusalem..) [ cut ] >> Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, [ cut ], Rock And Roll [ cut ], [ cut ], Trampled Underfoot.
Source: Incomplete excellent soundboard recording. 165 minutes.
Details: The recording is a very good balanced professional board tape. Two persons responsible for the transfer would coach the Seattle Kingdome video director on songs to be played at upcoming major shows. Basically he was "studying up" on song placement and solos to be expected. Having worked at both the Superdome and in Cleveland, he had friends at other venues. He simply asked a friend working the show in Cleveland to get him a copy of the show and fire it off to these people in Seattle. The guy brought in his home deck, walked up to the board, and being on the crew they plugged him in.

Comments: This show gets criticized a lot, but it is really a good show, with lots of energy and intensity. The playing is great and the versions of Kashmir, Achilles Last Stand, and Ten Years Gone are exceptional, as is No Quarter. A really enthusiastic crowd feeds off of Zeppelin's energy, making for a memorable show. Plant sometimes complaining of monitor problems, especially during the acoustic set.

Details: The tape has only minor hiss but is trebly and has some minor overloading at times. The band is very upfront and the clarity of the instruments is well detailed with the bass being a little indistinct.

Details: The recording itself is quite clear if not distant in some way, without any serious distortion and fairly balanced. The instruments are in a good balance, making this recording standing just few steps down from the previous tape. Taped on platform usually used for television camera for sports broadcasts.

Comments: This is clearly a night to remember. This gets my vote for the best show of the whole 1977 tour! The playing and energy are wonderful and Robert is in very strong voice. This show has what are probably the best ever versions of Ten Years Gone and Since I've Been Loving You from 1977, as well as a spine-chilling Jimmy Page Solo, a monstrous Achilles Last Stand, a grand Kashmir, and amazing playing throughout, especially from Jimmy. No Quarter is a wonderful, long version with lots of classical references thrown in.

APRIL 30 - PONTIAC SILVERDOME, PONTIAC, MICHIGAN (SATURDAY, 9:30pm)
This date started 90 minutes late. Possibly the whole set was filmed professionally. The story about the record breaking this concert was that a number of in-house cameras were deplyed and used at the venue, under the agreement of the band's management, to feed the giant video screens, providing close-up shots of the band as they delivered their actual show.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, In My Time Of Dying (<< You Shook Me..), Since I've Been Loving You, [ cut ], No Quarter, Ten Years Gone, [ cut ], The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California [ cut ], Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, Over The Top (<< Out On The Tiles, Moby Dick [ cut ]..) [ cut ], [ cut ], Guitar Solo (<< The Star Spangled Banner..) >> Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, [ cut ], Rock And Roll, [ cut ], Trampled Underfoot.
Source: Incomplete good audience recording. 172 minutes.
Details: The recording is distant with the treble end being clear and the bass a little muddy. The acoustic set does sound a little closer. There is noticeable noisy audience and lots of firecrackers can be heard throughout.

Recording Includes: Unknown song listing.
Source: Incomplete 8mm silent color amateur footage. 24 minutes.
Details: It was shot from the right side of the stage and the camera is never quite in clear focus.

Comments: The last show of the first leg of the tour and what a way to end it! This is generally an excellent show on all levels, including an excellent No Quarter and some amazing guitar work on Since I've Been Loving You. Jimmy seems to be totally focused during the whole show and the concert as a whole is great. An interesting note is that this broke The Who's record for the highest attendance at a concert at the same venue by a little under 500 people.

The LZ Official YouTube channel version is more than one minute shorter and excludes Moby Dick and most of Rock And Roll unnecessarily.

Recording Includes: Unknown.
Source: Incomplete 8mm (?) silent color 2nd amateur footage. 24 minutes.
Details: Only copies circulating are those that are filmed off a white wall during a projection of the original reels.

Comments: A very good show, the first during the tour's second leg since the Silverdome show. The first few songs are heavy and played very well and really provide a solid introduction to the set. No Quarter in particular is quite good, although shorter than usual. Achilles Last Stand is very good and almost impeccable and the drama is really heightened in the solo/jam section of Stairway To Heaven. A brutal Rock And Roll caps the event.

Comments: A very short excerpt from what could be a good show. An excellent light show during Jimmy's solo is captured as well as the Starship arriving at the airport.

WARNING! Some sources reported that another amateur video as well as almost complete audience recording of this show exist and both may still be in the hands of a tape hoarder. It claimed 15-minute long fragment was recorded but a very big care must be taken with these reports.

MAY 21 - THE SUMMIT, HOUSTON, TEXAS (SATURDAY)
The show was rescheduled from February 28, 1977. For many years the whole concert was supposed to be professionally filmed and examined that Opryland Productions was the company emplyed to provide the feed to the stage screens at the show. However, this is finally discredited as seen by the fans who reported were there no any video cameras or video camera operators on the stage or on the floor.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, In My Time Of Dying (<< You Shook Me..), Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter, Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp ) [ cut ], White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, Over The Top (<< Out On The Tiles, Moby Dick..), Guitar Solo (<< The Star Spangled Banner..) >> Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, Rock And Roll, Trampled Underfoot.
Source: Incomplete excellent soundboard recording. 184 minutes.
Details: The recording is a very good balanced professional board tape.

Bootleg CD Reference(s): The Dragon Snake (Eelgrass & Empress Valley Supreme Disc) & The Drum 'N' Bass Show! (Beelzebub Records)

Comments: The performance of the band at this concert is not so bad as reported somewhere but still not tops. Aside from some minor flaws, the overall level of its performance is very satisfying. The brightest star of this concert is John Bonham who continued to deliver a high level of performance throughout the concert. At this concert, Bonzo also shines especially in his drum solos with marvelous stereo effects, as well as in the very powerful Achilles Last Stand. The recording so vividly and lively revives his amazing technique, power and "feel" that no other drummer in the world would probably ever be able to attain or surpass for good ... there also are some funny moments captured in this recording. On the other note, it was at this show, when coming out for the encore, Jimmy slips coming forward playing Rock and Roll. He immeadiately gets up with a big grin on his face.

Comments: The crowd is riotous in this show and it adds a certain amount of chaos and tension to the concert. The band has to restart In My Time Of Dying as Page broke a guitar string (Plant: "I'll tell you what we'll do ... we'll start it again"). The concert is basically average, but still pretty good. Achilles is the real blowout; one of the most aggressive versions I have ever heard and very powerful. Stairway sounds really tired and worn out. Robert doesn't do any of his usual ad-libs and he sounds lazy and uninterested on all the vocals. The only part of the piece that sounds lively is the guitar solo and that jam section. The encores are good and It'll Be Me features Mick Ralphs of Bad Company on second guitar ... he shouldn't have bothered getting on stage. Not only does Jimmy make him look foolish with his playing but he gets completely drowned out as well!

Source: Complete fair audience recording. Almost 182 minutes.
Details: The sound is very distant and muffled. It's hard to detect details at some points and without any doubt this is the worst sounding tape of four from Landover.

Comments: For many years this date circulated as very clear but incredibly distant recording, hard to listen to unless you turn it up a lot and don't mind some hiss. Then, the soundboard tape came out, showing full potnential of the first night of Maryland run. The performance itself is amazing, one of the strongest and best of the 1977 tour. These four nights in Landover were a very strong segment of the tour. Jimmy is on for the whole show and the entire band is playing great and inspired music. Even Robert is in very strong voice and high spirits. No Quarter is excellent and Achilles Last Stand is blistering.

Source: Almost complete fair audience recording. 193 minutes.
Details: The source is very distant, muddy and similar to previous night's tape there is sometimes hard to detect the clarity. There is an improvement during the acoustic set where the band sound closer to the recorder. The audience seems to be noisy and cheering throughout the show.

Comments: Another strong accent. Since I've Been Loving You is very powerful, No Quarter an epic and Ten Years Gone is also excellent. A great, short, impromptu version of Dancing Days leads into Black Country Woman. Moby Dick for drum solo fans is over 35 minutes long here! So sad Jimmy not goes deeper into Communication Breakdown but only teasing the audience with a riff.

Comments: A continuation of the atmosphere and level of playing. In fact all four shows from Landover stands on the same, rather high level. During In My Time Of Dying there is a longer than usual pause before they start the fast boogie section, you can almost see them waiting on Jimmy to start so they can start rocking. Very good version of No Quarter and Kashmir here. Achilles Last Stand id also great exceopt for the opening riffs from Mr Page who played them too early.

Comments: The fourth and last night at this venue, this show is one of the best from 1977! Jimmy's playing is amazing, especially in In My Time Of Dying, No Quarter, Achilles Last Stand, and his awesome Stairway To Heaven solo. Ten Years Gone is simply beautiful and epic in scope. Sick Again starts sloppily but after that, this show develops into one of the best from the tour, with each member firing on all cylinders.

Comments: This is the first of a six-night stand in New York and a really good show at that. In My Time Of Dying was dedicated to the British Queen. "Tonight is the beginning of the celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee, and that's heavy thing for us, so we'll do this one for Liz!" said Plant to the noisy audience. Kashmir is a little sloppy but the whole show is really powerful and Jimmy is on fire in Achilles Last Stand. The drumming is very sloppy in Stairway To Heaven and everyone chases each other through Rock And Roll, which makes for a very bizarre arrangement.

Details: Somewhat a sister to the above tape. This one seems to be a little bit brighter and it could be a superb comparison if not all these cuts between the songs. The last part of the show is missing here as well.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Over The Hills And Far Away, Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter [ cut ], Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California [ cut ], Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dancing Days [ cut ]..) Source: Incomplete good 3rd audience recording. 152 minutes.
Details: A muffled, fairly distant and a bit distorted tape with lots of enthusiastic but very annoying comments from the tapers.

Recording Includes: No Quarter, Ten Years Gone [ cut throughout ].
Source: Incomplete 8mm silent color amateur footage. 3 minutes.
Details: The video shows members from knees to head, filling the height of the screen. Some copies are synched up with existing audios.

Comments: A great 1977 show that has some of the best playing. This is the first night during that tour where they played Over The Hills And Far Away instead of In My Time Of Dying, and also the first where they play Heartbreaker. Ten Years Gone is gorgeous and No Quarter is truly excellent. Kashmir is thundering and the finale has some great playing, with Achilles Last Stand being the high point. An excellent version of Heartbreaker is thrown into the set and is rocking.

[ cut ], [ cut ], Guitar Solo (<< The Star Spangled Banner..) >> Achilles Last Stand, [ cut ], Stairway To Heaven, [ cut ], Heartbreaker (<< Bouree..) [ cut ].
Source: Incomplete good to very good 1st audience recording. 175 minutes.
Details: A somewhat hissy but listenable tape. All the instruments are audible and only some distance holds this recording from being more upfront and clear.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, In My Time Of Dying (<< You Shook Me..), Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter [ cut ], Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir [ cut ].
Source: Incomplete very good to excellent 2nd audience recording. 126 minutes.
Details: It was recorded much close to the stage and is very clear. The recording is a bit thin but that's all. The sound is very powerful with an excellent drums frequencies, making Bonham's playing hammering. A malfunction with the recorder prevented the taper from continuing.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same [ cut ] >> The Rover Intro [ cut ], [ cut ], In My Time Of Dying (<< You Shook Me..) [ cut ], [ cut ], Kashmir [ cut ], [ cut ], Moby Dick [ cut ], [ cut ], Guitar Solo [ cut ], [ cut ], Achilles Last Stand [ cut ], [ cut ], Stairway To Heaven [ cut ].
Source: Incomplete very good 3rd audience recording. 48 minutes.
Details: A rather clear but distorted and shrill in places tape, just a step down in brightness from primary source. The dynamics could have been more properly achieved.

Recording Includes: No Quarter, Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore [ cut ].
Source: Incomplete excellent soundboard recording. 45 minutes.
Details: The recording is a very good balanced professional board tape.

Recording Includes: Kashmir [ cut ], [ cut ], Guitar Solo [ cut ], [ cut ], Achilles Last Stand [ cut ], [ cut ], Stairway To Heaven [ cut ], [ cut ], Heartbreaker [ cut ].
Source: Incomplete 8mm color amateur footage with actual sound. Near 36 minutes.
Details: The video is very dark. Distance scale ranges from full body filling half of screen height to full height. Most of copies have also footage from this date incorporated in between The Battle Of Evermore and Whole Lotta Love from June 14th, 1977 show because both are recorded by the same person and both dates were transferred in such way likely to match correct song order. The end of Heartbreaker is available here with both picture and sound while there's no audience recording circulating yet for this part of the show.

Comments: Fourth night at the Garden and the crowd is just as wild as the first! The set is well paced and the crude recording gives you an idea of just how much of a sonic wall Bonham and Jones were capable of creating. No Quarter is excellent as in most 1977 shows and Ten Years Gone has Page being as epic as usual with his one guitar orchestrations. Kashmir is towering and Heartbreaker is a riotous encore with Page's middle solo containing sections as it did in the past.

Comments: A very powerful and strong show all the way through. Robert even sings Over The Hills And Far Away up high, something he hadn't done for five years! No Quarter is gorgeous. Jimmy's soloing is excellent and Jones plays some great, mystical piano. The entire show is very powerful and brings to mind the spontaneity of previous tours.

[ cut ].
Source: Incomplete good to very good audience recording. Almost 118 minutes.
Details: The sound is distant and somewhat flat but overall, the recording is very listenable and has a good spectrum. The guitar seems to be lost in the mix a bit at moments though.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, The Battle Of Evermore, Whole Lotta Love, Rock And Roll [ cut throughout ].
Source: Incomplete 8mm color 1st amateur footage with actual sound. Almost 22 minutes.
Details: The video is very dark. Distance scale ranges from full body filling half of screen height to full height. Most of copies have also footage from June 11th, 1977 incorporated in between The Battle Of Evermore and Whole Lotta Love because both are recorded by the same person and both dates were transferred in such way likely to match correct song order. Comments: The final night at the Garden and an excellent show. The band is very powerful and Page is playing a great concert, stopping the hearts of the crowd in Since I've Been Loving You and especially No Quarter. Ten Years Gone is an excellent version and the concert is powerful where the tape finishes. This is all that exists of the show.

The show was rescheduled from March 8, 1977. The concert is married by Jones and Bonham's health problems and there was a dispute if John Bonham performed that night but after investigation it was confirmed he did play)

[ cut ] >> Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, [ cut ], Whole Lotta Love >> Rock And Roll.
Source: Incomplete excellent audience recording. 160 minutes.
Details: The volume of the guitar is low in the mix at the beginning and the sound is a bit distant and flat but it clears up to be an excellent recording. There is also rather little hiss and recording picks up some nearby audience noise.

Comments: This show is wonderful. Jimmy Page is playing some of the best guitar I have ever heard, and despite his back problems during this show, Jonesy is amazing on bass and keyboards. Robert's voice is in very good shape, and the only problem comes from Bonham. He sounds fine sometimes, but other times, his fills are measures behind the rest of the group and his playing is erratic ... it still sounds fine with the songs and makes for some new arrangements, but sometimes he seems lost ... they drop Moby Dick because of this. ("He's got trouble with his back. He's been lying in bed all day. It's about time we had some sordid press. It should be noted that he doesn't just play backgammon!" Plant stated somewhere in the show.) Anyhow, this show is great, and No Quarter, Ten Years Gone and Achilles Last Stand rock! Jimmy is on; this is his show.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Over The Hills And Far Away, Since I've Been Loving You, [ cut ], No Quarter, Ten Years Gone [ cut ], [ cut ], The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, [ cut ], Over The Top (<< Out On The Tiles, Moby Dick..), Heartbreaker (<< Bouree..), Guitar Solo (<< The Star Spangled Banner..) [ cut ] >> Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, [ cut ], Whole Lotta Love >> Rock And Roll.
Source: Incomplete excellent to superb 1st audience recording. 197 minutes.
Details: Many was said about this recording but no doubt this is possibly one of the best audience sources from Led Zeppelin's live catalogue ever made, with brilliant instruments balance and clarity. The only drawback is rather minor tape hiss.

Recording Includes: Ten Years Gone.
Source: Incomplete good 2nd audience recording. 11 minutes.
Details: A boomy, distant and somewhat noisy tape with just fair balance of instruments.

Comments: First of six sold out nights at the Forum, and a great show. The Song Remains The Same, Sick Again, Kashmir and Achilles Last Stand are devastating and No Quarter is just the greatest version ever heard! John Bonham was introduced by Plant as "...the man who fought food poisoning and drunk Heineken...". A great show and not merely an opening night, but a great show in its own right. It also comes from the best audience recording ever! In fact the Millard tape sound so great Jimmy used the fragment on the official DVD!

The show was rescheduled from March 12, 1977.

Recording Includes: Sick Again [ cut ], Nobody's Fault But Mine, In My Time Of Dying (<< You Shook Me, The Lemon Song..), Since I've Been Loving You [ cut ], [ cut ], No Quarter [ cut ].
Source: Incomplete fair to good 1st audience recording. 36 minutes.
Details: The tape is a bit hissy. It could be a decent sounding recording if not significantly overloaded in lower notes.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, In My Time Of Dying (<< You Shook Me, The Lemon Song..), Since I've Been Loving You [ cut ].
Source: Incomplete good 2nd audience recording. 44 minutes.
Details: Somewhat flat sounding but frankly not so overloaded tape.

Recording Includes: The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, [ cut ], Over The Top (<< Out On The Tiles, Moby Dick..), Over The Hills And Far Away, Guitar Solo (<< The Star Spangled Banner..) [ cut ] >> Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, [ cut ], Whole Lotta Love >> Rock And Roll.
Source: Incomplete good to very good 3rd audience recording. Almost 115 minutes.
Details: Albeit still distorted, this is allegedly the best sounding tape of all four available for this particular date. At least all instruments are captured in a fair shape.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, In My Time Of Dying (<< You Shook Me, The Lemon Song..), [ cut ], Since I've Been Loving You, [ cut ], No Quarter [ cut ], [ cut ], Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, [ cut ], Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), Guitar Solo (<< The Star Spangled Banner..) [ cut ] >> Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, [ cut ], Whole Lotta Love >> Rock And Roll.
Source: Incomplete fair 4th audience source. 167 minutes.
Details: Significantly the worst sounding tape - heavily distorted and hissy, recorded much close to guitar monitors. Starts off a bit unintelligible, it clears up after few minutes but still just a fair to good at best.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same, The Rover Intro, Sick Again, Over The Hills And Far Away, Achilles Last Stand [ cut throughout ].
Source: Incomplete 8mm silent color amateur footage. 8 minutes.
Details: Shot from far right of the stage above the floor. Proximity (with zoom) ranges from band members height filling half the screen to full screen.. Some copies are synched up with existing audios. Most of bootlegs have most of it not synched with the right concert.

Bootleg CD Reference(s) source 1, 2, 3 & 4 mixes: Black Satin (Empress Valley Supreme Disc), For Badge Holders Only - The Complete 1977 LA Forum Tapes (Empress Valley Supreme Disc), One Day After Eddie (Immigrant), Power And Glory: Time Traveller (The Diagrams Of Led Zeppelin), Second Night At The Forum (Scorpio "new"), Time Traveller (The Diagrams Of Led Zeppelin), & A Week For Badge Holders: Over The Hills And Far Away (Tarantura)

Bootleg Visual Reference(s): Film Noir Volume 2 - 1977~1980 (Hercules), For Badge Holders Only - The Complete 1977 LA Tapes (Empress Valley Supreme Disc) & Over America 1977 (Cosmic Energy)

Comments: A really erratic night, especially from Jimmy. He totally botches The Song Remains The Same, and then delivers some excellent playing on Sick Again, Since I've Been Loving You, and No Quarter. Achilles Last Stand is rushed and Jimmy almost forgets the solo, throwing everyone's timing off. How they recover is quite exciting though! The Stairway To Heaven solo from him is exquisite. All in all, the most erratic LA show, probably the worst one out of the six nights but still a very good show. The rest of the band seems fine.

Source: Incomplete excellent 1st audience recording. 173 minutes.
Details: The source is very clear and well balanced and the audience is pushed to the rear. There is very little tape hiss. A strange thing about this source is right after Achilles Last Stand there is a man that says: "These murderers continued to sing, as the bombs fell. How could these men sing so happily while they murdered millions?" A real magic(k) here!

Source: Incomplete excellent to superb 2nd audience recording. Near 166 minutes.
Details: A great balanced and very close to the stage with only some little tape hiss. The audience is captured well but edits are a bit annoying. It is said that the show is incomplete because taper forgot to press record.

Comments: An excellent show ... a famous Badge Holders show due to Plant's several dedications to the badge holder people ... with the whole band firing on all cylinders! It is the only known show from 1977 tour when the band stopped after the first song. The peculiar stop is brief and Robert doesn't offer any hints. Perhaps a guitar change was neccessary. Jimmy's soloing during Since I've Been Loving You, Achilles Last Stand, and Ten Years Gone in particular, is amazing. Keith Moon joins in to make this already classic show legendary in stature. Just listen for a very crazed sounding yelling over the beginning of Bonham's drum solo: "The best rock and roll drummer in the world ... living today! Mr John Bonham! With Buddy Rich's arms!" He says more after that, but I can never quite make out just what it is because he seems to trail off into a noise of swearing and yelling, which conjures up cartoon images of the Tazmanian Devil or even (perhaps more appropriately) Animal from the Muppets. But that's Keith Moon for you! He also appeared before the encores. "LA. It's been very funny. Good night!" and the show was over.

WARNING! Some sources reported that another tape of this show exist and may still be in the hands of a tape hoarder. Possibly whole show was recorded but a very big care must be taken with these reports.

Comments: What an incredible show, and Jimmy in particular is playing some of the best guitar of the tour! The entire band is in a no nonsense mood, playing the best they can. No Quarter and Ten Years Gone are beautiful and Achilles Last Stand and Stairway To Heaven are exquisite. Jimmy's solo in Trampled Underfoot is one of the best he's ever done on that song and the funky Communication Breakdown encore caps what is probably one the best of the six LA Forum shows.

Comments: Another amazing show from this run! The playing and singing are top notch and everything is concentrated on the music. No Quarter is amazing with great improvisations and the acoustic section is long and spontaneous, with That's Alright Mama being dropped in complete with a slide guitar solo! Jimmy's solo is great and long, with several unusual sections that sound exciting and build the tension before Achilles Last Stand blows it all apart. A great solo and jam section in Stairway To Heaven and a rocking and excellent encore of It'll Be Me close one of the best 1977 shows ever.

Bootleg CD Reference(s): Coherence (Watch Tower 1st & 2nd issue), Deep Striker (Empress Valley Supreme Disc, 3CD & 4CD), For Badge Holders Only - The Complete 1977 LA Forum Tapes (Empress Valley Supreme Disc), Full Imperial Collapse (Wendy Records), L.A. Comments: An endless epic concert closes out the six night stand at the Forum, and Led Zeppelin start off slow but by the middle they reach a great height, although they do seem to be a little tired at the end. The 40 minute No Quarter contains some great improvisation and Ten Years Gone is really epic. A wild and spontaneous acoustic section is the centerpiece of this show and a riotous and funky Trampled Underfoot is a welcome addition to the concert. Jimmy solo is nearly 30 minutes long and is fairly enjoyable, although his tuning in the middle helps give the impression that it is rather wandering, and Achilles Last Stand is sloppier than most versions. A great end to the saga though!

Important Note: The following dates were partially filmed on amateur 8mm equipment in color and without actual sound: June 22 (10 minutes), June 23 (12 minutes - it's not the same footage as the one attributed previously), and June 26 (14 minutes - see above). Possibly other nights were filmed too. The setlist consists of the following songs: The Song Remains The Same, The Rover Intro, Sick Again, Over The Hills And Far Away, In My Time Of Dying, No Quarter, Ten Years Gone, Kashmir, Moby Dick, Guitar Solo, Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, and It'll Be Me. The songs are filmed only partially, sometimes twice versions or more of each song are shown. These footages are only available as a one-part fragment released on "Over America 1977" and detailed dates are still not confirmed. JULY 17 - THE KINGDOME, SEATTLE, WASHINGTON (SUNDAY, 8pm)
The show is married with equipment problems. Whole concert was professionally filmed. A few excerpts from it were used on "Over The Hills And Far Away" promo video (broadcast during promoting Remasters set in late 1990) and on MTV's "Rockumentary" series programme (broadcast during "Whole Lotta Led" weekend, which also promoted Remasters album in late 1990). Also fragmentary used on "Whole Lotta Love" promo video in 1997 and DVD in 2003.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Over The Hills And Far Away, Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter, Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, Over The Top (<< Out On The Tiles, Moby Dick..).

Source: Incomplete very good 3rd audience recording. 213 minutes.
Details: This is fairly clear but boomy source. It might be a bit closer to the stage though. Recorded from 3/4 way back, 1/2 way up, stage right.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Over The Hills And Far Away, Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter [ cut ], Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, Over The Top (<< Out On The Tiles, Moby Dick..), Guitar Solo [ cut ] >> Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, Whole Lotta Love >> Rock And Roll.
Source: Incomplete excellent soundboard recording. 209 minutes.
Details: The recording is a very well balanced professional video soundtrack. The sound tends to be "dry" though. Taken from genuine video soundtrack and initially planned to be overdubbed by Page with Puff Daddy rapping over the actual music with the end result to be broadcast on BET, the project was aborted for some reasons.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Over The Hills And Far Away, Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter [ cut ], Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, Over The Top (<< Out On The Tiles, Moby Dick..), Guitar Solo >> Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, Whole Lotta Love >> Rock And Roll.
Source: Incomplete color professional footage. 210 minutes.
Details: The sound of this well balanced tape starts off a little thin but improves and is better from the second disc onwards. You can hear the sound of the videotape from where this recording was sourced. Only found with degenerated video and good audio. However, the video is normally out of sync with the audio. The sound is dry. There's also better quality video that has last three songs.

Comments: A very good show in a huge, echoey venue. The recording is distant but quite listenable, and the show is very good considering the 2-week layoff between the LA Forum gigs and this one. Monitor problems plagued some of their acoustic set. Also, Page broke a string during Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp and Jones filled in with jazz improvisation (Plant: "At least we know we can play in the hotel bar afterwards"). Stairway To Heaven has the most beautiful Page solo ever performed, and the show as a whole is strong and full of energy, even though it may not be the most technically perfect one.

JULY 20 - ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY ACTIVITIES CENTER ARENA, TEMPE, ARIZONA (WEDNESDAY, 8pm)
The show was rescheduled from March 6, 1977. The concert delayed and also married by some band members' health problems. Because of dealy, the show was shortened and there was no encore.

Recording Includes: The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dancing Days..), Trampled Underfoot, [ cut ], Black Mountain Side >> Kashmir [ cut ], [ cut ], Guitar Solo [ cut ] >> Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven.
Source: Incomplete fair to good audience recording. Near 90 minutes.
Details: Noticeably distant, muddy and fairly muffled tape.

Comments: This is the worst 1977 performance, if not the worst ever in their entire career! The whole band seems to be sloopy, tired and Pagey is missing almost all his solos! Due to a big delay, the show was also shortened and the encores as well as drum solo were dropped out from the set. The first part of survived set seemed decent, with the exception of Page who seems to missed some notes. Things took a strange turn after a very low key acoustic set, where Dancing Days had its second and last ever live presentation as acoustic version. During Trampled Underfoot Page turned in a very uninspired guitar solo. Then ... He chose not to perform White Summer. He played a few bars of Black Mountain Side before going into Kashmir ... but without the rest of the band, slowly Bonzo joined in, then John Paul Jones. Next ... there was no Moby Dick! Bonzo seemed to be "missing in action" at the close of Page's guitar solo so there was an improvisational opening to Achilles Last Stand. And after the opening bars of Achilles right when the song "kicks" in, the whole band is extremely out of tune, missing almost every note. Bonzo seemed in a hurry to end the show and was off his drum stool and gone before Robert finished the final lyric. So you didn't have the customary cymbal flurry at the end of the song. Finally ... that was it! No encore! It's reported that people in the crowd after the show did comments, one was "Led Zeppelin didn't eat their Wheaties".

JULY 23 - THE DAY ON THE GREEN, OAKLAND-ALAMEDA COUNTY COLISEUM, OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA (SATURDAY, START AT 11am)
Support from Judas Priest and Rick Derringer. There are possibilities that this show might be recorded professionally as straight soundboard by Bill Graham crew and still lying in the archives.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Over The Hills And Far Away, Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter [ cut ], Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..), [ cut ], Trampled Underfoot, White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, Guitar Solo >> Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, [ cut ], Whole Lotta Love >> Rock And Roll, [ cut ], Black Dog.
Source: Incomplete good to very good 1st audience recording. 163 minutes.
Details: The source was recorded fairly close to the stage but it's still distant and varies between less or more muffled. There is tape hiss but not very noticeable. The sound is quite clear however, making this tape the best sounding of all three available.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same [ cut ] >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, [ cut ], Nobody's Fault But Mine, [ cut ], Over The Hills And Far Away [ cut ], [ cut ], Since I've Been Loving You [ cut ], [ cut ], No Quarter [ cut ], [ cut ], Ten Years Gone [ cut ], [ cut ], The Battle Of Evermore [ cut ], [ cut ], Going To California [ cut ], [ cut ], Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..) [ cut ] >> Kashmir, [ cut ], Guitar Solo [ cut ] >> Achilles Last Stand, [ cut ], Stairway To Heaven [ cut ], [ cut ], Whole Lotta Love >> Rock And Roll, [ cut ], Black Dog.
Source: Incomplete good to very good 2nd audience recording. 139 minutes.
Details: This source seems to be recorded a bit closer to the stage than above but it is somehow distorted by bass. The tape hiss is not annoying here too.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same >> The Rover Intro >> Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Over The Hills And Far Away, Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter [ cut ], Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Black Country Woman (<< Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..) [ cut ], Trampled Underfoot, White Summer (<< Black Mountain Side..) >> Kashmir, [ cut ], Guitar Solo >> Achilles Last Stand [ cut ], Stairway To Heaven, [ cut ], Whole Lotta Love >> Rock And Roll, [ cut ], Black Dog.
Source: Incomplete good to very good audience recording. 166 minutes.
Details: Somewhat harsh tape, lacking also bass notes a bit and being muffled here and there. Has small signs of overloading throughout. In some ways all these sources are comparable, and shared the same 'dirty' outdoor reverb.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same, The Rover Intro, Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Over The Hills And Far Away, No Quarter, Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, White Summer, Kashmir, Guitar Solo, Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven [ cut throughout ].
Source: Incomplete 8mm silent color 1st amateur footage. 8 minutes.
Details: Some songs are originally out of order. Shot from some distance, quite in a front of stage. Some copies have sound synched up from existing audios.

Recording Includes: The Song Remains The Same, Sick Again [ cut throughout ].
Source: Incomplete 8mm silent color 2nd amateur footage. 1,5 minute.
Details: Band members' height fills between one and two thirds of the screen height. Shot in a front of stage, possibly much close to above taper. Some copies are synched up with existing audios.

Recording Includes: Crowd footage, The Song Remains The Same, No Quarter, Ten Years Gone, Whole Lotta Love [ cut throughout ].
Source: Incomplete 16mm color 3rd amateur footage with actual sound. 17 minutes.
Details: Filmed from balcony, very far away from the stage but zoomed up in several spots. Surprisingly, the picture is sharp (even if filmed from such distance). Mostly, the video is focused on crowd. The band is shown from the right side of stadium, covering only Plant, Page and Jones. Ten Years Gone is pulled between two parts of No Quarter as it is probably transferred from the original reels.

Comments: The second to last gig ever in the States. "Good afternoon. So this is what they call daylight!" Plant joked. This is a very strong show with some really great highlights like the numbers leading up to No Quarter. Ten Years Gone is ruined in the middle by Jimmy, but the section of the show afterwards is really quite good including a brutal Achilles Last Stand with some nice rhythmic change ups by Jones and Bonham. A very rare for 1977 Black Dog closes the show as a second encore. It was after this show that Bonham, Peter Grant, and members of the road crew were accused for beating a member of Bill Graham's staff.

Comments: The last show of the tour before Plant's son's untimely death and the last ever Led Zeppelin show in America. A very good show although somewhat hurried and tense due to the beating of Bill Graham's man by Bonham and their road crew. The sound is excellent and Jimmy's playing is very good in Since I've Been Loving You. The improvisations are excellent in No Quarter but the end of the show gets sloppy and the encores are rushed and erratic. A stage invider had marked their appearance that day - a local dancer named Betty took the stage and danced during No Quarter.
